Thanks to everyone for a wonderful first workshop on 30th September. Sadly we were unable to meet as planned in-person in the heart of Dublin, and we had our discussions via zoom instead. Nonetheless, we had a really useful and inspiring meeting, with invited contributions from Clare Downham, David Griffiths, Fiona Edmonds, Sean Duffy, Ailsa Mainman, Linzi Simpson, John Sheehan and Griffin Murray. These short papers on the history archaeology, economy and art of the towns, and the landscape and seascape of connexion set us up for some really extended and informative discussions, and really encouraged us that the first shoots of our network are starting to appear.
We look forward to workshop 2 in (we hope!) York in ealry 2022.
